To use Fedimint, all you need is a compatible wallet app and an invite to a federation. Pick a wallet, scan a federation invite code, and you're ready to deposit Bitcoin and start transacting privately. No accounts, no KYC — just people you trust.
Ideally you join a federation run by people you already know and trust. If you don't know anyone running a federation yet, you can browse public federations on Fedimint Observer — it lists active federations along with their Nostr-based ratings and reviews from real users, so you can get a sense of a federation's reputation before joining.
Don't see a federation for your community? Consider starting one yourself — all you need is a few trusted friends and a server.
